COMMON COLD
Disorder of respiratory tract.
Caused by Rhino virus belonging to Picarna virus.
Highly contagious disease.
Transmitted by droplets.
Symptoms:
Acute coryza( inflammation of mucous membrane in the nose),
Fever,
Chilly sensations,
general disposition.
The virus causes the inflammation of nasal chamber.
The nose sends out the virus.
When the virus enters the trachea,the patient coughs just to throw away the virus.
Common cold is treated with antibiotics.
