Chytrid fungus

Fungus attack in Frog

This disease caused by a Chytrid fungus.
It attacks the skin of frog because it contains keratin(protein substance).
Since frogs use their skin in respiration, this makes it difficult for the frog to breathe.
This leads to making a thick skin and it results  less permeable process in skin.
It paves the way for
electrolyte imbalances,
loss of muscle control,
heart failure,
lethargic/sluggish  and
reddened skin/sloughed off skin.
