Binomial Nomenclature

ZOOLOGICAL NAME OF SOME ORGANISMS

 A local vernacular names cannot be a basis of classification,it is important to have a single scientific name for each organisms.
It consists of 2 names.(Binomial  Nomenclature or Scientific names are mostly Latinized)
The first one is the Genus.This can be compared to a Person's surname.The organisms shares this name with the other members of the organisms.
The second name specifies the species.

Living symbol of Peace   GENERAL FEATURES It is cosmopolitan in nature. It is a gentle bird. It reffered to be the "Symbol of peace." It exhibits social behaviour. They fly in flocks and roost( a place where birds are going to sleep ) together. It is monogamous and the partnership is lasts for entire life.
